Thank you for using .Os, the world’s first web-based decentralized operating system. We strive to provide transparent, fair, and user-first policies across all services. Please review our Refund Policy carefully before making purchases, subscriptions, or POINTS transactions.
Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and processed in accordance with this policy.
Because .Os operates as a federated, decentralized system, some transactions may occur within independent community instances. In those cases, local policies may also apply.
Refunds, when granted, will be issued in the original form of payment (e.g., credit card, PayPal, or POINTS), unless otherwise specified.
Refund Eligibility:
Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase for monthly plans and within 14 days for annual plans.
If significant technical issues prevent you from accessing the service and cannot be resolved by support, you may be eligible for a refund.
Non-Refundable Situations:
Partial periods of subscription (e.g., unused weeks or months).
Failure to cancel before the renewal date.
Voluntary account closure outside of the refund window.
POINTS Purchases: POINTS (the native .Os unit of value) are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law.
POINTS Spent: Transactions made with POINTS (e.g., donations, tips, marketplace purchases) are final and cannot be reversed, unless the transaction was clearly fraudulent or unauthorized.
Fraud Protection: If fraudulent use of POINTS is detected, we may investigate and, if validated, issue partial or full refunds at our discretion.
Eligible for Refund:
If a purchased digital item (e.g., app, plugin, content license) is defective, inaccessible, or materially different from its description.
If the service fails to deliver after payment and support cannot resolve the issue.
Non-Refundable:
Successfully delivered digital goods (downloads, unlocked content).
Custom or personalized services that were already fulfilled.
Peer-to-peer transfers made within the .Os ecosystem.
Some .Os services are provided by independent communities (instances). Each community may set its own local refund rules.
If your purchase was made through a specific community instance, you may need to contact that instance’s administrators directly.
The core .Os team cannot guarantee refunds for third-party or community-governed services.
To request a refund, please contact us at [support@os.com] with:
Your full name and account ID.
Date and details of the purchase.
Reason for the refund request.
Refunds, if approved, are typically processed within 7–14 business days.
Any applicable processing fees (e.g., payment gateways, blockchain fees) may be deducted from the refund.
This policy does not affect your legal rights under consumer protection laws, which may provide additional protections depending on your jurisdiction.
Where required by law, we will honor statutory refund periods beyond what is stated here.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect new features, community governance, or compliance requirements. Updates will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
✅ User Acknowledgment:
By purchasing, subscribing, or making transactions through .Os, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this Refund Policy.
